ToolKITZDownload

Connect your services.

Step by step, for every module that shows your live numbers. Most take two minutes. Each one says exactly which buttons to click and which permission to pick, and nothing more than ToolKITZ needs.

Where keys go in ToolKITZ

  1. Open Settings: hover the tab under the panel and click the gear, or right-click the ToolKITZ menu bar icon.
  2. Click Connections, open the service, paste, and click Save.
  3. Stuck? The ⓘ next to each service in ToolKITZ opens its section on this page.

Your keys stay on your Mac. Secret keys are stored in the macOS Keychain and only ever sent to the service they belong to. Every guide below asks for read-only access wherever the service offers it.

Weather

Current conditions and the next 3 days.

No account30 seconds
  1. In ToolKITZ, open Settings › Connections › Weather.
  2. Type your city in City (for example Toronto) and click Save.

Forecasts come from Open-Meteo, which needs no key. If a city isn't found, add the country: Paris, France.

Stocks

Prices and today's change for your watchlist.

No account30 seconds
  1. In ToolKITZ, open Settings › Connections › Stocks.
  2. Type your symbols separated by commas, for example AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, BTC-USD, and click Save.

Use Yahoo Finance tickers: crypto ends in -USD, indexes start with ^ (^GSPC is the S&P 500), and other exchanges add a suffix (SHOP.TO).

Claude

For the AI Assistant module: chat, fix, shorten, translate.

Free account + pay-as-you-go credits3 minutesKey starts with sk-ant-
  1. Go to console.anthropic.com and sign in or create an account. This is separate from a Claude.ai subscription.
  2. Add a few dollars of credit: Settings › Billing › Buy credits. The API is pay-as-you-go; quick rewrites cost a fraction of a cent.
  3. Open Settings › API keys and click Create Key. Name it ToolKITZ.
  4. Copy the key right away. It's shown only once.
  5. In ToolKITZ: Settings › Connections › Claude (AI Assistant), paste into API key, click Save.

"Credit balance too low"? The key works, but the account needs credit. Add some under Billing and try again.

Stripe

The Revenue module: the last 30 days of revenue and recent payments.

Read-only restricted key2 minutesKey starts with rk_live_
  1. Open the Stripe Dashboard. If you have several Stripe accounts, switch to the right one (top left).
  2. Go to Developers › API keys.
  3. Under Restricted keys, click Create restricted key. If Stripe asks how you'll use it, pick the option for giving the key to another app.
  4. Name it ToolKITZ. In the permissions list, set Balance to Read. Leave everything else on None.
  5. Click Create key, then copy it.
  6. In ToolKITZ: Settings › Connections › Stripe, paste into Restricted key (read), click Save.

Seeing test data? You copied a key while the Dashboard was in test mode (rk_test_). Turn test mode off and create the key again. Never paste your secret key (sk_live_): ToolKITZ only needs read access.

Shopify

Sales and orders from the last 30 days.

  4. Install the app on your store (the app's home page has an install option where you pick the store).
  5. Open the app's Settings and copy the Client ID and Client secret.
  6. In ToolKITZ: Settings › Connections › Shopify. Enter your store as yourstore.myshopify.com, paste the Client ID and Client secret, click Save.

Made a custom app in your Shopify admin before 2026? It has a permanent Admin API token (shpat_…). Paste that into Or: old Admin token instead, and leave the Client ID and secret empty. Shopify stopped letting stores create those apps on January 1, 2026.

  3. Click Generate new token, name it ToolKITZ, and copy it.
  4. In ToolKITZ: Settings › Connections › Supabase, paste into Access token, click Save.

Open Supabase access tokens ↗

Full access key1 minuteKey starts with re_
  1. Open resend.com and go to API Keys.

Resend has no read-only key, so treat this one like a password. It stays in your Keychain; delete it in Resend any time to cut ToolKITZ off.
